If you are looking to head near Illinois, I would recommend that you check out Milton, WI or like you stated, Mt. Zion. They both will be amazing competitions with multiple power house show choirs at both competitions! Milton is hosting Onalaska, Reedsburg, Totino-Grace, Wheaton Warrenville, Craig, Mundelein, and Waconia! What a good competition! Mt. Zion is hosting Manteno, Pekin, Davilee, Glenwood, Thomas Jefferson, Twinsburg, Eisenhower, Crete-Monee, Waubonsie Valley, Buffalo Grove, and Sullivan!
Wow! That is quite a list of competitions! I hope that you will post the results on our Facebook page and keep everyone updated! If you go to Fame Chicago there is a possibility that you could meet me! Have a great season and I hope that your car works so you can enjoy everyones' shows!
Hey Jerry, hope your summer went well! Are you are excited for another great season of show choir?
I believe that Totino-Grace had an absolutely amazing season. I had the opportunity to see their show live and they were incredible! I love Totino, and i was absolutely stunned when I learned they did not make finals at nationals. However, nationals consists of the best groups from around the nation, and if a choir has an off day or if something goes wrong, it only takes 1 second to determine if you make finals or not, and unfortunately something just didn't click that day for Totino. But yes, I did believe that Totino was going to receive an amazing place at Nationals.
Try sending it through a new message on the left side of my profile. If that does not work, you are more then welcome to email me at showchoirranking@Aol.com.
I put a lot of thought into trying to come up with an explanation on a comment I made concerning Totino-Grace and the "disappointing performance" they had in Indianapolis and finally came to the conclusion that it was'nt necessary. In reviewing the over-all stats beginning in Linn-Mar and ending in Indianapolis for Company of Singers 2011, it speaks for itself. I think I can say without ruffling anyone's feathers that even your friend Show Choir Ranking could tell you that going into Indianapolis Totino-Grace was one of the favorites or possibly thee favorite to win that FAME National Championship.
I Do not think taking 6th place and missing finals by 2 pts is a "poor" showing. Disappointing yes but prom or finals had nothing to do with it.
I will attempt to post a fair evaluation of my Show Choir rankings for 2011 after the results from FAME Indianapolis have come in. You can't hardly submit a fair ranking until you have the complete results for any given year and there is plenty that has to be taken into consideration this year. But even I COULD NEVER BE completely accurate in an activity like this one mostly due to my limited involvement... Jerry
